Our adventure begins as we touch down in the Faroe Islands. After making our way to the accommodation and checking in, we’ll have time to explore the surroundings, get familiar with the area, and ease into the trip. No big plans for today—just a chance to relax, grab a bite to eat, and get ready for the days ahead.

Waterfalls & Mykines Island

The day kicks off with a visit to Skardsafossur, a hidden gem that’s off the main tourist path but well worth the stop. From there, we hop on a ferry to Mykines, a rugged island famous for its dramatic cliffs and thriving puffin colonies. We’ll spend the day hiking the trails, soaking in the wild coastal views, and getting up close with the puffins. Expect fresh sea air, sweeping landscapes, and the raw beauty of the Faroes.

Sørvágsvatn, Hiking & Local Dinner

First up is Sørvágsvatn, the legendary lake that appears to hover above the ocean. We’ll walk along the cliffs, take in the illusion from the best vantage points, and for those feeling adventurous, there’s an option to kayak. Next, we tackle the Witches Finger Trail, a scenic hike leading to a striking rock formation with an incredible panoramic view at the top. We end the day with dinner at a traditional Faroese farm, tasting local dishes and getting a glimpse into daily life on the islands.

How do I reserve a place on a trip?

Get in touch with us and we'll walk you through it. Our groups are small and spots are limited, so we recommend reserving early. We'll confirm your place, share the full itinerary and packing details, and let you know exactly what to prepare before departure.

How big are the groups?

We travel in small groups — usually 8 to 16 people. It's large enough for a friendly, sociable atmosphere and small enough that no one gets lost in the crowd, and that every stop stays relaxed and personal.

What is the accommodation like, and will I share a room?

We hand-pick comfortable, welcoming places to stay. Rooms are shared with travellers of the same gender, with a maximum of three people per room, which keeps the trip affordable and the atmosphere friendly. The photos on our pages are representative — the actual rooms will be very similar, if not the same.

What's included in the price?

Your accommodation, transfers to and from the airport, all transfers between locations, guided activities, and basic travel insurance are included. Flights and most meals are not included — we tell you upfront so there are no surprises, and we handpick affordable places to eat (and often cook together) along the way.

How fit do I need to be?

Our trips are active but not extreme — think walking tours, gentle hikes, boat rides and plenty of time to soak in the views. You should be comfortable being on your feet for a day of sightseeing. More demanding activities are always optional, so you can choose your own pace.

Are flights included, and how do I get there?

Flights are not included, so you're free to book the route and timing that suit you best. Once your place is confirmed we share the recommended arrival point and times, and airport transfers at the destination are on us — we'll be there to meet you.
