One day at a time

Arrival

We’ll land in Bodø and, if time allows, explore a bit before catching the ferry to Moskenes. The ride itself is a highlight, with incredible views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Once we arrive, we’ll settle into our accommodation, have dinner, and relax for the evening.

We’ll kick off the day with a hike up Reinebringen (1.1 km) for breathtaking views of the fjords. Afterwards, we’ll visit the picturesque village of Hamnøy, followed by a stop at Glass Vikten AS, where we can watch glassblowers at work and browse their creations. Later, we’ll unwind at the peaceful Kvalvik Beach before heading to Fredvang to see its famous bridges. After dinner, we will return to our accommodation for the night.

Viking History & Kayaking at Sunset

We’ll start the day by crossing the Flakstadbruene bridges taking in the scenery along the way. Our first stop is the Lofotr Viking Museum, where we’ll step back in time and learn about Viking history. Then, we’ll visit Aalan Gard, a charming goat farm known for its organic cheeses. In the evening, we’ll kayak at sunset, a perfect way to experience Lofoten’s coastline. We’ll wrap up the day with a dinner in one of the local Norwegian restaurants.

How do I reserve a place on a trip?

Get in touch with us and we'll walk you through it. Our groups are small and spots are limited, so we recommend reserving early. We'll confirm your place, share the full itinerary and packing details, and let you know exactly what to prepare before departure.

How big are the groups?

We travel in small groups — usually 8 to 16 people. It's large enough for a friendly, sociable atmosphere and small enough that no one gets lost in the crowd, and that every stop stays relaxed and personal.

What is the accommodation like, and will I share a room?

We hand-pick comfortable, welcoming places to stay. Rooms are shared with travellers of the same gender, with a maximum of three people per room, which keeps the trip affordable and the atmosphere friendly. The photos on our pages are representative — the actual rooms will be very similar, if not the same.

What's included in the price?

Your accommodation, transfers to and from the airport, all transfers between locations, guided activities, and basic travel insurance are included. Flights and most meals are not included — we tell you upfront so there are no surprises, and we handpick affordable places to eat (and often cook together) along the way.

How fit do I need to be?

Our trips are active but not extreme — think walking tours, gentle hikes, boat rides and plenty of time to soak in the views. You should be comfortable being on your feet for a day of sightseeing. More demanding activities are always optional, so you can choose your own pace.

Are flights included, and how do I get there?

Flights are not included, so you're free to book the route and timing that suit you best. Once your place is confirmed we share the recommended arrival point and times, and airport transfers at the destination are on us — we'll be there to meet you.
